Core Support

We understand that each participant has different needs. Your NDIS funding is there to provide you with the supports and to help you work towards your goals. Your funding is based on what is "reasonable" and "necessary" to pursue your goals. In addition to the support provided by family, friends, and other community and government services, your Core Support Budget includes 4 categories of support:

Consumables

Everyday items you may need. For example, continence products or low-cost assistive technology such as modified cutlery and handrails to improve your independence and/or mobility.

Daily Activities

We provide assistance with daily personal activities to participants so that they can get on with their day as usual. Our supports are designed using person centred approach, in which we encourage our participants in leading their lives by making their own decisions and we provide the necessary support in the process. Whether it being the preparation of food or getting dressed, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Assistance with Social and Community Participation

Community participation is an essential part to a healthy lifestyle, we aim to support NDIS participants to build skills to have an active social life, interact with their community and perform civic activities. Under our person centred approach, we prioritize the needs and wants of every participant, hence we let them choose their preference in selecting the activities that they enjoy the most. Our goal is to educate participants on the importance of community engagement, having self-awareness and selfcare. This will help them gain awareness on personal interest, skillsets, passion and linking these to an employment pathway.

Activities include but not limited to:

  • Sports clubs
  • Watching movies in cinema
  • Visiting parks, zoos, museums and galleries
  • Camping and picnics
  • Day trips
  • Visiting friends
  • Learning a music instrument
  • Knitting
  • Volunteering

Participants will work closely with our partnering qualified practitioners such as occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech therapist and many others to improve their overall capacity.

Transport

We offer support with transportation so that our participants can get around without any hassle. Our qualified support workers can help you with your travels either with their own car, public transport or our modified vehicles. Our vans have been modified to allow wheelchair accessory.

  • Medical appointments
  • Community sports such as pool, soccer, basketball etc.
  • Shopping centres
  • Zoos

    Traveling Training Program

    Travel Training Program is designed to assist individuals with to develop the necessary skills and confidence to travel independently. The program aims to improve access to transport, increase social inclusion and enable individuals to participate fully in their communities. Through a series of tailored training sessions, participants will learn how to plan their journeys, navigate public transport, and travel safely with confidence This program is a vital step towards achieving greater independence and inclusion.

Our program allows participants to experience exciting new destinations in a safe and supportive environment. We understand that travelling can be challenging for some, and therefore our program is designed to provide tailored support and assistance to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable getaway.

Short-term Explore getaways can include:

We provide a range of activities and experiences to choose from, including cultural tours, outdoor activities, and sightseeing tours. Our program is designed to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to explore new destinations, build social connections, and create lasting memories. We offer flexible scheduling and a range of options to suit your needs, including one-on-one support and groups. We believe every person has the right to experience new and exciting adventures, and we strive to create an environment that promotes socialisation, independence, and self-confidence. Capacity building

Capacity building funding aims to build up the capacity of the participant so that they can live their life to the fullest, this includes working with support coordinators to get the best out of their plan, working with plan mangers and allied health professionals to improve their daily capacity.

Support coordination

We understand that information regarding NDIS can be overwhelming, that is why our qualified support coordinators will help participants identify their NDIS plan, understand their individual needs and choose the appropriate support required to achieve their goals.

Plan Management

Using plan management as your funding type means that you will need a plan manager who can assist you in using and managing your funds. Our qualified plan managers will serve as an intermediary between you, your service providers and the NDIA. We will help you plan the best way to use your funding and provide you with a schedule of support for all your required services.

Allied Health Professionals

We understand the importance of getting support from qualified professionals, we are here to help you connect with Allied Health Professionals so that our participants can build up their capacity for different aspect of life. We aim to help them improve their:

Capital Support

The Capital Support budget relates to supports such as assistive technology or modifications to your home and as such depends on quotes from suppliers. Funds within this budget can only be used for their specific purpose (e.g. a rail in the bathroom or a wheelchair).

The Capital Support budget has two support categories:

Assistive technology can make life a lot easier for those in need, we work closely with the participants and their therapists to choose the right assistive technology. Includes equipment items for mobility, personal care, communication and recreational inclusion (e.g. wheelchairs or vehicle modifications)

Products under this category includes but not limited to:

  • Pressure mattresses
  • Commode
  • Wheelchairs
  • Electric bed

Home modifications are changes to the structure, layout or fittings of a participant’s home so they safely access it and move around comfortably in areas they frequently use.

Home modifications may be included in your plan if:

  • due to the impact of your disability, you or your carers cannot reasonably access and use frequently used rooms and spaces in your primary residence.
  • your primary residence, in its current condition, has significant and adverse impacts on the sustainability of current living and care arrangements.
  • a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist has performed an assessment and recommended home modifications, considering all possible alternatives, including the use of equipment.
